Unlimited Desert Racer

The Unlimited Desert Racer combines Pro-Scale™ performance with extreme 6s power for the most thrilling RC driving experience possible. It drives like a real desert truck because it’s engineered like a real desert truck. A 4-link solid rear axle provides huge suspension travel with authentic driving dynamics. From the cantilever sway bars to the GTR shocks, Traxxas accurately reproduced a true desert racer in both form and function.

MODEL 85076-4: Unlimited Desert Racer Pro-Scale™ 4WD Race Truck, Ready-To-Race® with Traxxas Stability Management®, TQi™ 2.4 GHz radio system, VXL-6s Brushless Power System, and Licensed Race Replica painted body

Over-discharging a LiPo battery will cause irreparable damage and may cause battery failure. To prevent over-discharging, only use Traxxas Power Cell LiPo batteries with an electronic speed control (ESC) that has a low-voltage detection system or alarm.

All current Traxxas vehicles equipped with the XL-2.5 (w/LVD), XL-5 (w/LVD), EVX-2 (w/LVD), VXL-6s, VXL-3s, and VXL-3m have Low Voltage Detection (LVD). Older versions of the XL-2.5, XL-5 and EVX-2speed controls do not have Low Voltage Detection; see below to determine if you have the latest XL-5 or EVX-2 speed control.

How to Tell if Low Voltage Detection is ON

Traxxas ESCs will show a green light to indicate Low Voltage Detection is turned on; the Castle Creations ESC will beep once for each LiPo cell it detects (for example, 4 beeps if you have installed two 2-cell LiPo packs in your model). The Castle speed control automatically activates its low-voltage detection mode when it detects it is connected to LiPo batteries. If you are uncertain about how to turn on and use Low Voltage Detection, consult your vehicle's manual or call 888-TRAXXAS. We're happy to help.

If the LED glows GREEN when the ESC is on, Low Voltage Detection is activated

How to Turn Low Voltage Detection ON

If your Traxxas speed control with Low Voltage Detection displays a red light when switched on, it means that Low Voltage Detection is switched OFF. To turn it ON, first turn on your transmitter and speed control. With the speed control already on, press and hold the EZ-Set button until you hear an ascending tone (if you have a VXL speed control) or two beeps (if you have an XL-5 speed control). Release the EZ-Set button and the speed control's LED will light green to show Low Voltage Detection is ON. If it does not light green, do not operate your model with a LiPO battery. Repeat the procedure. Call 888-TRAXXAS if you cannot activate Low Voltage Detection.

If the LED glows RED when the ESC is on, Low Voltage Detection is DEACTIVATED.
To turn Low Voltage Detection on, press and hold the EZ-Set button until you hear an
ascending tone (VXL speed controls) or two beeps (XL-5 speed control).
